The imprint Les Editions d'En Face is a recent offshoot of a printing shop founded in 1923 on the site where Alexis de Tocqueville wrote Democracy in America, in the heart of the aristocratic Faubourg Saint-Germain quarter lovingly depicted by Marcel Proust, a few yards from the Maison des Ecrivains and what is now the Musée d'Orsay.
Our lightweight operating structures based on the latest technologies enable us to bring exceptional books to the attention of audiences beyond the economic scope of major publishers.
We specialise in British and French topics in just two fields : the literary (novels, essays, poetry, biographies) and the academic (monographs, textual editions).
The books we distribute are selected from those printed by our parent company in Paris, Jacques Reich S.A.S. ( www.reich.fr). Designed and produced to exacting standards, they benefit from generous editorial assistance as required to further the cause of literature and knowledge.
